Wenden is not an exact science!

As we decided to have a try in Wenden for a late winter (early spring, even if calendar says “winter”), with the typical enthusiasm of Fabio pushing behind the scenes, me, Luca and Matteo met up in Gadmen. A typical warm and comfortable night in the car and at 5 a.m. we left the “base camp” for the Excalibur pillar. But snow is playing an undecent part of this game, covering the steep grass fields of the approach with a 1 to 1 and 1/2 meters layer of packed and unstable snow! We walked straight to the target for three hours, when all of a sudden, even the slabs that gravvy over the walls started to melt and collapse, exactly on the supposed path! What the f#@ck! Big snow “cascades”, fullfilled with ungroomed snow blocks were poorly falling on our line… Than the sun started to hit like hell, taking the day from a nice late winter episode to a damn white desertic sunburn! What the…. Anyway, we managed to keep on a little part of our project, and this is what we were there for.

ps: rarely in summer time you can have such a warm day like yesterday.
